Beginning March 8, 2019 , our members wore one dress each day for one week. This awareness campaign sought to increase knowledge around the limits poverty can place on choices of expression and opportunities for employment. Through this awareness campaign our goals were to:
Common Threads: A Little Black Dress Initiative
Our week-long awareness campaign ended on March 14th with an exciting event! In partnership with Theatre Art Galleries, Common Threads: A Little Black Dress Initiative is an event planned and hosted by the Junior League of High Point's New Member Class. A portion of the proceeds from this event are donated to The Career Closet at the YWCA in High Point. The remaining amount supports Junior League of High Point community impact efforts.
